A Cinderella birthday
When my daughter turned three years old she asked me for a princess party. My response? YES! YES! YES! I have to admit, the definite YES was a result of the guilt I have felt for the lack of a birthday party the year before. I had two solid months to plan this party and I was determined to make it AMAZING. Every night as soon as the kids were asleep I would get on Pintrest and search for ideas. I have found a YouTube tutorial for a princess cake, DIY birthday banners and decorations ideas. I thought I could save a lot of money by doing a lot of these things myself…BUT, let’s face it…
From now on I’m BUYING EVERYTHING on ETSY!!!! HAHA!
Cinderella was a huge hit with the kids, she was so pretty and talented we gave her a pass on that wrinkled gown…hehe
First, there was beautiful singing and story time. Then, a crown craft activity for the kids, it kept them occupied for a good 30 minutes or so..
Surprisingly, the bounce house was not a huge hit with the kids…they jumped around for MAYBE 30 min? We rented it for 4 hours…oh well, you live, you learn…
Making the Cinderella cake was very stressful and time consuming. When I watched the YouTube tutorial I thought to myself: Pff..That’s so easy! I can do this myself! Of course, YouTube tutorials made by professional bakers make everything seem so easy, until you try to do it yourself. If you’re anything like me (NOT a very good baker) then I would recommend leaving this for the professionals! Nevertheless, everyone seemed to like it and I have received a lot of compliments (or maybe they were just being nice haha)
At the end, my daughter told us it was the best birthday party ever! I guess it was all worth it 🙂
