Walt Disney World
Somehow Disney World has the incredible ability to turn our vacations into the BEST vacations with so many lasting memories. It never fails. The moment you walk out from the tunnel under the Walt Disney World Railroad, down Main Street, towards the beautiful Cinderella’s castle you leave the real world behind and surrender yourself to the magic of Disney. It really is the happiest place on earth. No doubt it’s one of the most exciting trips to plan but it can also be THE most overwhelming trips to plan.
I started planning our Disney vacation soon after we got back from NYC. I booked our flight, hotel, ordered magic bands, booked character dining, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, and downloaded “my Disney Experience” app on my phone. Once we bought our tickets, I linked them to our account and started making FastPass+ reservations. Everything was going smoothly until so many of the FastPass+ reservations for the most popular attractions were coming up as “unavailable” due to high demand (yikes!) I knew at some point we were going to have to wait in line☹. The longest line for us was for the Seven Dwarfs Mine train (60 min)…not bad considering some people waited an average of 130 min!
Nevertheless, Disney did not disappoint…we had one of the best vacations ever! So many great memories! Best part? We got to see and share this experience with my sister, BIL and our nephew! This trip was epic.
Dining with the princesses @ Cinderella’s Royal Table
Animal Kingdom
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
Character dining @ The Crystal Palace
We had one pool day at the resort to regroup and take a break from the 7mile-a-day walking marathons…and let me tell you the kids were awesome! No major meltdowns and NO drama! We spent three days in Magic Kingdom and one day in Animal Kingdom. We will try to tackle all four parks next time we go.
All three kids loved every single ride/attraction and could not pick just one as their favorite but they all agreed they did not care much for Stitch’s Great Escape (that was my least favorite one as well…we’ll definitely skip it next time we go). I will be posting ‘5 Things I wish I knew before going on our 1st Disney trip’ soon, so please stay tuned…
