New York, New York!
My new year’s resolution for 2017 was to “Do more of what makes me happy.” Besides my family (and dentistry, of course) nothing makes me more happy than traveling. So what was I going to do now to make sure we have the best year ever? Book a trip, of course! And so I did, book a trip to NYC in the middle of January. Even though, January is probably the least desirable month to go there (brrrr), I booked it anyway (my decision may have been slightly influenced by my son’s newfound fascination with NY).
We had three songs on repeat as we drove through VA, MD, DE, NJ and into NY. They were: “Welcome to NY” by Taylor Swift, “New York, New York” by Frank Sinatra and “Empire state of mind” by Alicia Keys. Needless to say, we had all the lyrics memorized by the time we got there…haha
I have to admit, it’s always nice to be in NYC! (even in the cold weather), there is so much to see and do. Kids loved Times Square, they were mesmerized by all the skyscrapers. My favorite thing was window shopping on 5th Avenue, St. Patrick Cathedral and Central Park.
What are your favorite things to see and do in NYC? Please comment below. Thanks for reading!
